When I was in school I learned all about the various theorists and their views on developmental milestones and stages; useful in my teacher/counselor mode, but as a mama I have different ones. Like, when she learned to swing all by herself with no pushes from us (and boy does she get up there!):
And when she graduated to "real" big-kid Legos:
Or when the top of her head reached the countertop, or when she could dress herself, or open the refrigerator, or when she started to ask really cool questions like, "What does 'instead' mean?." So many sweet and momentous moments to treasure!
