Barefoot Sunday: California BLT's

A Barefoot lunch was on the menu today; perfectly ripe red tomatoes, smooth avocado, crispy lettuce and crispier bacon, delicious! The texture of Ina's BLT was so satisfying and adding the avocado helped with the stick-to-your-ribs factor as I was not hungry an hour later. My recommendation for making? Stick to the recipe's calling for thick, white bread. The texture of wheat will not mix well and you need a thick slab (at least 1/2") of bread to stand up to the moistness of the other ingredients (otherwise you will have a mess on your hands...literally). I served it with some kettle chips. Enjoy!
